Magnesite

Magnesite is a carbonate in the calcite family. Calcites have nearly perfect rhombohedral cleavage and are very dull in luster. Being porous and relatively stable, magensite is an excellent gem for creative stones and shapes and can be polished and dyed in many colors and hues. The mineral has many applications in industry, building, and agriculture.
